On May 23rd 1996, shortly before the release of their self-titled debut album, Placebo started their πŸ”Έπ—™π—œπ—₯𝗦𝗧 π—•π—œπ—š 𝗧𝗒𝗨π—₯πŸ”Έ with a concert at Luna Theatre in Brussels, Belgium. The band played 159 shows in the UK, Europe and North America. The last gig took place at Battersea Power Station in London on December 22nd 1997.

Interesting fact: The Placebo tour was the only time that the Smith cover “Bigmouth strikes again” was played live, but it was performed only once at a show in Wolverhampton, UK.
