🔵 The third track on the album 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑰'𝒎 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 is also the second single from the album. Once again in the romantic register, it deals with the 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠.

🔵 According to 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏, "𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑨𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑼𝒔 is addressed to me, it was written from the point of view of someone I had a romantic relationship with. [...] I tend to imagine the end of a relationship before anything has really begun. [...] I'm a rather misunderstood writer: people think I'm railing against others, but all the hate is actually directed at me. "

🔵 The single was released in several formats: 2 CDs and tape.

But the sharks don't seem to be attracted to the three men... So the children turn back to the piranhas. As the video ends, we will never know the fate of Steve, Stefan and Brian.

The video was shot at The Sea Life London Aquarium (formerly London Aquarium). The filming took 7 hours.

🗨️ It's the poppiest that we've ever been in our lives, it's sort of... it's got a really cheerful melody but it's quite a disturbing song.

🗨️ Well it's kind of... it's sort of somebody ranting at me basically, it's sort of like an ex kind of telling me I'm crap at relationships really which is what all the mental masturbation's about in that song. But it has a total, total pop edge to it, it's kind of got that punk pop thing that 'Nancy Boy' had

🗨️ You Don’t Care About Us’ is directed towards me, written from the point of view of someone who I used to be in a relationship with. There’s a line in it which says, ‘You’re in the wrong place/ You’re in the back page’ which is often what I used to do - I used to imagine the end of these things just as they were starting. When you do that you’re fucked from day one basically, but that’s often the way I used to conduct my relationships. I think I’m quite a misunderstood songwriter - all the bile and vitriol and wickedness people believe is directed by me towards other people, but they’re often directed from other people towards me and I’m being extremely self critical.“

🗨️ Definitely. That is the way Brian writes his lyrics sometimes. Like the song "You Don't Care About Us". That is taken from the point of view of somebody talking to Brian. As opposed to him talking to somebody else, actually somebody is asking him, 'This relationship is going wrong. You don't care about us, man.' (laughs) But other people translate it like the kids are going to the adults, 'You don't care about us!' It's weird. They are all coming from all different angles. "My Sweet Prince" was a female friend of Brian's who just they were just kind of busting up and that was the last thing she wrote on his mirror in his bathroom before they split up. It is all real, but it can be from any direction really.
