๐น The song has been covered by Placebo in 2009 and can be found as a ๐-๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐'๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐.
๐น It's quite interesting that Placebo covers this song because of the lyrics that fit perfectly with the Placebo spirit.
๐น The song is presented as a conversation between two completely different people (๐โ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐โ๐๐๐ข๐โ ๐๐๐โ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ / ๐โ๐ โ๐๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ต๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐กโ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐)who are unhappy with their respective situations and are filled with envy towards each other's posture (๐กโ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐กโ๐๐๐). And they both pass the quid by saying that their situation is nothing to be envied because their individual struggles are just as difficult for each other A song about envy, dissatisfaction and the inner struggle it takes to get there, to feel good / better.

๐น However, I think that the central point of the song lies in the last sentence: ๐ค๐๐ข๐๐๐'๐ก ๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ค๐๐กโ๐๐ข๐ก ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ? Because in the end, that would be the solution to live happily and serenely...

๐ฌ I love the contrast between the music and the lyrics of this song. The music is quite light, pop, while the lyrics are dark. And it's one of the songs that we grew up with, so we have a soft spot for it. So we decided to record it as a b-side for one of our singles. We did it mostly for fun. The recording session was very enjoyable.

๐ฌ (๐ญ๐ข๐ถ๐จ๐ฉ๐ด) Well, it's a song that's been in my head since I was a kid. Nik Kershaw did a lot of hits when I was a kid, but the only song I liked was Wouldn't it Be Good. There's such a mood of despair in that song, even though the melody is very positive. You know, I have a list of songs I'd like to cover one day in my computer. And Nik Kershaw sounded right. When we do covers, we go into the rehearsal studio and we have fun. It's like taking a holiday. The song also has to suit us as a band, and that was the case here. Probably the best choice we made was Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush.
