Whether in 𝐸𝑦𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑑, 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑙𝑜𝑢𝑑𝑠 𝑊𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑂𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑀𝑒, 𝑆𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑘 𝑖𝑛 𝑇𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑢𝑒𝑠 𝑜𝑟 𝐵3, the references to religion are numerous. 🔷 The song could be interpreted in many different ways but for me, I don't think this song is aimed at anyone in particular, but rather at yourself from the perspective of the character in the song. Like self-disgust when you look in the mirror "horrid to see you again so bored of being you". When you talk to yourself unmercifully... A song about self-loathing in a way. I see a character who can't stand a part of himself that resurfaces after a long period of time hiding inside.
