๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ was produced by Dimitri Tikovoi, engeenered by James Brown and Dario Dendi, mixed by David Bascombe and mastered by Tim Young.
The song features ๐ณ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐ on backing vocals.
The song’s anti-war message is still relevant – probably more than ever before! And it strongly speaks to me personally at the moment…

๐ข๐บ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐ ๐๐: No matter how insignificant we may feel in this world, we still shouldn’t give up. According to Darwin, we are just machines for survival, but if we agree with this, we are just going to kill each other. I will say a trivial thing: every man in his position should make this world better, that's all. Throughout our career Brian has affected political themes, but now it’s a time to speak in a full voice. We don’t want to become a "new U2” or build publicity on this, we just try to keep a mirror to the face of a society.

⭐️In a case with ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐, we’re lucky to know quite a detailed ๐บ๐ป๐ถ๐น๐ of how the song was born – told by Brian himself.
๐ข๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: "Not so long ago, at the beginning of the new millenium, I used to frequent a small bar off the Champs-Elysรฉes called "Le Mathis". Early one morning, as the sun began to poke its pesky head over the horizon, and over several vodka-tonics, my friends Nelly, Juri J and I began to put the world to rights, as you do. Naturally the subject turned to the war in Iraq, which I had taken to the streets of London to protest against, and we all began to get angry. In his disarmingly heavy italian accent, Juri turned to me and said: "the world is run by clowns with trigger happy hands." A light went off in my head. The next morning as i sat on the Eurostar, nursing a hangover as heavy as a loaded gun, a wave of inspiration came over me, as it does, and I began to write, the lyrics to what was to become a song vomited themselves forward fully formed and remain unchanged to this day.
By the time I reached London, all that was missing was the music. A few months later, in a serendipitous twist of fate, my friend and German Superstar DJ Timo Maas got back in touch, asking if I would be interested in working on some lyrics and perhaps singing on his new album. I found the skelleted electronic tracks he had sent me quite exiting, and I would eventually end up guesting on three album tracks. One track, however, leaped out of the stereo at me and screamed "sing over me now!". I began to mumble the words I had written that day on the train and they seemed to fit perfectly. So enamoured was I by this happy accident that I contacted Timo immediately to say that I would gladly sing on his new album, but only if he would "donate" said piece of music to the Placebo cause. Thankfully he agreed and a song was born. Now, put your hands in ze air, mรผtterfuckers!"

To accompany the release of ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฌ, Placebo launched a short film by Swedish video director, ๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐.

The film tells the story of Bubbles, a young clown who has witnessed a violent mob murder his human mother and clown father. Cast out on his own, Bubbles must choose between honoring his parents bi-racial memory or joining a clown rebellion and avenging their death.
It's a thought-provoking, darkly comic, and memorably weird allegory of being an outsider in a world going more and more crazy and violent. The clowns in the film serve as a metaphor for 'racial or cultural crimes in history'.
An interesting creative decision was to film it at the former ranch of Charles Manson in Los Angeles.
๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ was a notorious American criminal and musician who led the Manson Family, a cult based in California, in the late 1960s. Some of the members committed a series of nine murders at four locations in 1969.
There are two cuts - the full-length ten minute short film and shorter video version that has been released earlier, in September 2010.

๐คกThe full-length film premiered on December 8th, 2010. On that day, “various journalists and bloggers were 'courted' via e-mail by a secretive 'FATHER', clown-napped from over London, driven to a secret London location (the deluxe ๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฆ๐), fed pizza, shown the film, and given their marching orders with only a USB stick tied around their wrist on the way out to tell them all. Stefan, from the band, was also in attendance with all there too freaked out by the clowns to notice that pretty crucial clue. Insider secret time: being the thoroughly mardy unpleasant 'FATHER' for the past week has been a lot of fun!”

There were rumours that not only Stefan, but Brian and Steve Forrest attended that weird premiere … though, can anyone confirm that?๐ค
What an impressive way to promote the film and the song!
