๐Ÿ“ฐIt’s time to search for some ๐’๐’๐’… ๐‘ท๐’๐’‚๐’„๐’†๐’ƒ๐’ ๐’Ž๐’‚๐’ˆ๐’‚๐’›๐’Š๐’๐’† ๐’„๐’–๐’•-๐’๐’‡๐’‡๐’” again. Today, my finding is a short ๐๐‘๐ˆ๐€๐'๐’ ๐ˆ๐๐“๐„๐‘๐•๐ˆ๐„๐– from around 1997, I guess, where he comments on his favourite artists. Those of you who like a very young Brian’s way of expression and sense of humour, will enjoy it๐Ÿ˜‰
I’m unsure about the magazine, so if you own this one and can help me with the title and issue, I’d be grateful.

“Girls Against Boys and Sebadoh – pure sex and pure emotion. When I listen to Sebadoh, it breaks my heart. I find similarities between Sebadoh and us, the way Jason and Lou play together, the way the guitar and the bass harmonise. You listen to Sebadoh before you go out and get really drunk. Then, when you do, you listen to Girls Against Boys.”

“The most underrated band in Britain. I sang backing vocals with them on Boxing Day in Glasgow.”

“I’ve thought a lot about why Bowie asked us to support him at Madison Square Garden. Obviously, he’s a fan, but what is it that he loves so much about Placebo outside of the music? I think he sees a lot of himself in us, of how he was when he was younger. Maybe he thinks we’re carrying some sort of torch he carried before he went straight. The camp Olympic Flame.”

“Then there’s Iggy. Just to see a 50-year-old guy with more energy than me play… I’m convinced he’s an alien. When we met him, he was standing there in his leather pants, no shirt on, shaking our hands, going, ‘Thank you. Are you from Paris?’ He’s up onstage, he’s just f***ed a Marshall stack and then he turns round to 8.000 people and says, ‘I’m going to f*** you all’ – and he does! As he walked offstage he went, ‘Girl, you, me, now!’ K-ching!’ If I can be like Iggy when I’m 50, I’d be very surprised.”

“I was a big Jane’s Addiction fan. At college, I was very much into them and the Pixies. It pisses me off when people go ‘Geddy Lee’ in connection with my voice, because I’ve never listened to Rush. I really admire Perry, how dangerous and committed he is. Jane’s Addiction had a sort od knowing ‘f*** you’. It wasn’t a meathead, punk ‘f*** you’, it was an intelligent, dangerous, manipulative ‘f*** you’.”
