There’s a quite untypical story behind this curious animated video. It wasn’t commissioned to any director specifically but was sent to the band by a very devoted and motivated – and extremely creative! – Placebo fan.
However, the clip ended up on Placebo's YouTube channel as an official video.

๐ค ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: He's from South Africa and he sent us this animation when it was almost finished. We thought that it was something new, unusual and that the guy really had balls. Moreover, this is not a computer animation, it’s made in a real old school manner with all these little dolls that he had to animate by hand! By hand! It's great, it's different, and he made us laugh… And then again, it was less work for us! (Laughs)

๐ค ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: This was the first time we ever used animation. In fact, this video was sent to us by a fan from South Africa, so it proves that initiative and persistence pays off. We find it amusing to look at ourselves as puppets. He was at college when he did this and would spend all of his time not doing homework and doing this animation instead.
๐ค ๐๐ญ๐๐: Doing something useful (laugh).
๐ค ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: It’s kind of funny. It features Jesus on drums.

๐ค ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: I’m not sure what’s going on but it looks like it’s Sunday afternoon, you know, after a very hard night out (laugh).

๐ค ๐๐ญ๐๐: This version’s the remix from the album by Dimitri Tikovoi. It features extra vocals in the end.
๐ค ๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐: He’s got it all down, the right drums, the right cymbals. He’s even left-handed, amazing!
