⭐𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐍𝐃⭐

Dear soulmates,

of course I’m also coming to wish you a very happy 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒐 𝑫𝒂𝒚🎉🎉🎉

As soon as it’s all about the legendary hit 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐍𝐃 today, I decided to tell you about the very first performance of this song. So, it was played at 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒐𝒔 for the British TV programme 𝐂𝐃:𝐔𝐊 on 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟓𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟑. Five days later, on March 10th, The Bitter End was released as the lead single from Placebo’s fourth studio album 𝐒𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬.

✨𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘✨

𝐂𝐃:𝐔𝐊 (𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧:𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐦) was a music television programme which ran in the United Kingdom from 29 August 1998 until 1 April 2006 It was aired on ITV as a rival to the BBC's Live & Kicking. In contrast to its predecessor, The Chart Show, which only showed promo videos, CD:UK was broadcast on Saturday mornings with a studio audience and featured live performances, as well as star interviews and competitions.

A spin-off programme entitled 𝐂𝐃:𝐔𝐊 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐬, featuring music videos which could be considered unsuitable for daytime viewing, was launched in January 2003 and broadcast overnight. Back in 2003, the program was fronted by 𝑪𝒂𝒕 𝑫𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒚 as solo presenter.

On March 5th, 2003, 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐨 was one of three guests at the studio to discuss the artists featured in that week’s CD:UK Hotshots chart.

The sound is pretty bad but I think such rarities got their value anyway.

Brian’s answers were all smart and meaningful but I’d like to pick up one of them specifically because it’s not about one particular song or artist (they talked about Beyonce and an American rapper 50 Cent) but such a general open-minded point of view.

📢𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐨: “It’s controversial in my opinion. If it’s musical ‘black collagen’ - black music originated in America, it was brought over here so that’s where it really originated - so don’t we should be so nationalistic about it, 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎. I think it’s a little bit of a shame with this. I’m a big hip-hop fan but I’ve always been a fan of hip-hop of the message that public enemy will be down productions, and such are the origins of hip-hop. I think it’s just a shame, the business twist towards real negativity in hip-hop and violence in hip-hop and a kind of this gangster lifestyle because 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒂 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒕.”

🎶Back to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐝, please enjoy the first of 679 performances of this song. The latest one, by the way, at Plaine de Tourbillon, Sion, Switzerland, is dated July 13th, 2018. After Every You Every Me and Special K, it’s considered to be the third most often played song in Placebo’s live history.

Have a perfect day together with us on the page!🤩
