𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗢'𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘 "𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘" – 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗬

Today we have a very special ♦️𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆♦️ to celebrate: Exactly 25 years ago, on February 5th 1996, Placebo's first single “𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘” was released. The cover photo of this record was taken by Alex Weston who is still one of Placebo's managers today. “Come home” reached no. 86 in the UK Singles Chart.

The b-side tracks were “Drowning by numbers” and “Oxygen thief”. The title-song “Come home” was an alternate version compared to the one that later appeared on the band's debut album.

The single version of “Come home” was produced by Brian and engineered by Fulton Dingley at Blackwing Studios in London. Different to that the album version was recorded at Westland Studios in Dublin. Like the rest of Placebo's first album it was produced by Brad Wood and engineered by Ed Kenehan.
