Llanes who worked on the pictures for Placebo seventh studio album.
An
extremely beautiful location, Vasquez
Rocks, was
chosen for this photoshoot so, the result appeared to be
breathtaking.
On
May 18, 2013, Joseph Llanes shared this photo on his IG account with
the following message: “The

LOCATION INFO
Vasquez
Rocks
Natural Area Park is a 377-hectare park located in the Sierra
Pelona Mountains
in northern Los
Angeles County,
California.
It is widely known for distinctive rock formations repeatedly used as
a filming location.
The
prominent rock formation has been nicknamed "Kirk's Rock"
due to being featured in several Star
Trek
episodes, each time representing a different planet. It was also
featured in an episode of Star
Trek: Picard,
in a scene identified as taking place at that real location.
A small
hint: do you remember that Stefan has once got a nickname ‘Volcano’
from his bandmates – just as the Star Trek character?
In
1935, Vasquez Rocks was used as a filming location to portray Tibet
on the famous Hollywood horror movie Werewolf
of London.
Feature
films shot at Vasquez Rocks include Dante's
Peak, Hot
Shots! Part Deux,
Rustlers' Rhapsody,
The Flintstones,
Blazing Saddles,
Star Trek V: The
Final Frontier,
Free Enterprise,
Paul,
and Hail, Caesar!
Television
shows include Zorro,
The Fugitive,
F Troop,
The A-Team,
MacGyver
and G.L.O.W.
Commercials
for Taco
Bell,
Bank
of America,
Pacific
Bell,
Pepsi,
and Nike
have been filmed at the rocks.
Musicians
Radiohead,
Michael Jackson, Greta Van Fleet, 311, Eddie Money, Sammy Kershaw,
Restless Heart, Lee Tae-min, and BTS have made music videos there.
Vasquez
Rocks Natural Area Park is open from sunrise to sunset for outdoor
activities. It is also a popular place for hosting so called Star
Parties. Those are gatherings of amateur astronomers for the purpose
of observing objects and events in the sky which sometimes last up to
a week or longer and attract hundreds or even thousands of
participants.
Joseph
Llanes:
“I
believe that the person I’m photographing should be put at ease, so
my goal is to earn their trust.”
“I
love cultivating relationships and recognizing the talents of others
and putting them to good use. At the end of the day, my goal is for
everyone to feel a part of something and to be proud of the images
that were created.”
