Since I’m a huge fan of Placebo ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, it’s always absolutely exciting for me to find special moments, amusing facts and fascinating connections in them. Recently, I discovered three interviews connected, in my opinion, in a very nice and moving way.
We all love reading and watching our beloved Placebo boys talk about themselves and their music. But you may understand that for some journalists, doing these interviews, chatting with the guys is as great unforgettable experience as the result of their work, for us!
I think most of you know this amazing old interview with Brian, Stef, and Robert Schultzberg on Italian TV - ๐๐๐ ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ข ๐๐ข ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐จ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐. A well-known Italian journalist and TV presenter ๐ท๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐ met Placebo in 1996 and they had some brilliant conversation. Looks like Brian enjoyed meeting beautiful Paola and gave a present, Placebo CD, which he took out of his pants so it was “nice and warm” …๐

Obviously, Paola was already a Placebo fan back then. Did she know she would be able to interview the band over twenty years later?..๐
But in-between, she’s got a chance to have a chat with Placebo at the ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ค๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฅ in 2003.
For Placebo, it was quite a complicated show. On that day, June 13, 2003, Metallica was the main headliner and Placebo didn’t really fit too much into the audience’s taste… Later, Brian and Stef would both remember this festival as the one where they’ve been coined on stage by the impatient Metallica fans.
However, the interview with Paola Maugeri was very interesting and friendly again.

And finally, when Placebo came to Italy during their 20-years anniversary tour to play ๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ง๐ณ๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฅ, Paola Maugeri did her own ‘20-years anniversary interview’ with them.
Her Instagram post on that day reads:

๐ฌHonestly, watching these three interviews altogether now gives me such a warm, a bit nostalgic feeling๐ฅฐ
