Today let's talk about one of the little known jewels of 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒐, "𝑰𝒏 𝑨 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒌", released only as a 𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒌 of the album "𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒏 - 𝑱𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝑬𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏" (2009) and as a digital download.

As its title indicates -"𝑏𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑓𝑢𝑛𝑘" is an expression that means feeling depressed, hopeless or afraid- the lyrics are heartbreaking; A mixture of feelings between longing for the beautiful moments of a relationship( 𝐼𝑛 𝑡𝒉𝑒 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑤𝒉𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑒'𝑑 𝑣𝑎𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑤𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑐𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑠 𝑡𝒉𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑐𝒉…),
fear (𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑒), the doubt of not knowing if that relationship works or not (𝐼𝑠 𝑖𝑡 𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑟 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑎 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒?) and an enormous despair heightened by 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒍𝒌𝒐's voice and raw guitars. "𝑰𝒏 𝑨 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒌" it's sad and beautiful at the same time, as 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒐 songs usually are. It's a song that moves me deeply.

𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒐 has played "𝑰𝒏 𝑨 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒌" only once live on June 22, 2012 in 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒏, 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔, the first in a series of five concerts called "𝑨 𝑹𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔" that they did in collaboration with a renowned German luxury car brand to promote their new car model.
