๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐'s work with ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐ had been constant throughout the band's first decade; however, it took 6 years after "๐ป๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐" until the band returned to work with him on the "๐ญ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐'๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐" and "๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐ ๐ป๐๐ ๐บ๐๐" official videos in 2009, the last ones they have done together so far. Would ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐ like to direct a video for ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐ again? Well, we will discover that later in this post, ๐

๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: This was filmed on Jodrell Bank radar.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: Cockney rhyming slang for?

๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: This is close to where I was brought up, round the corner. I used to hang out near this huge dish when I was a kid. And I never thought I’d be with the band, playing on top of it. It’s kind of a huge thing to achieve.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: I hate to break the mystery, but the band isn’t playing on the satellite dish itself. Thanks to technology we did it in the studio. This video was filmed in January. So it would have been too cold for us to be comfortable up there.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: Basically Howard came to us and said: ‘I’ve got an idea for a location’. And it was Jodrell Bank. We wanted to do a performance video again as well after doing quite a lot of filmic-style videos.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: I think he wanted to keep it quite simple - one idea that is visually arresting and would show the band in the best light possible.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: Howard tries to retain a modernist attitude towards most videos and tries to keep it futuristic, which I think you get from this.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: There’s a very good ‘Because I worth it’ moment here.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: Howard using heat-seeking cameras on night-time shots. It was interesting, the first time we’d seen that. It feels gorgeous. There is a great energy on ‘The Bitter End’. It just builds and builds. It does the song justice.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: This video became a big favourite on MTV2 and across Europe. The great thing about Howard is that we just show up and go: ‘Do what you want’, because we trust him. It’s really easy.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: It’s helps you relax and be yourself.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: By this point we’d known each other five years and done four videos together. So it gets easier every time we work with Howard Greenhalgh.

๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: This is in South Africa, I think. Some huge exhibition hall. It’s not that modern, it’s sort of 70’s. But Howard sort of doctored the pictures to make it look more modern and placed us in between after we did all the blue screen stuff.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: The idea was that somebody has lost their identity, through either being in a self-destructive relationship or being outside of it, because their identity is so involved in the relationship itself.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: There was a lot of fashion going on. We were in designer gear for this one.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: Christian Dior.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: And then you’ve got Mancuso.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: Which is a label which Howard invented.
It’s kind of a video about a model trying to find her face again. It could also be your worst ex-girlfriend nightmare at a gig. Just imagine, you’re playing a show and the audience is full of people you shagged. It could be quite difficult.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: It’s filmed during the first British tour of ‘Sleeping with Ghosts’ between two shows.

๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: We worked with one of our favourite video directors, Howard Greenhalgh, who has been working with us for a long time. He has done loads of stuff for us including 'Nancy Boy', 'Bruise Pristine' and 'The Bitter End', so we had a long relationship with him that enabled us to feel more relaxed, especially now we are introducing a new member to the public. We wanted it to be quite performance based and the tags were basically about the fact that sometimes what you see, is not what is real. We wanted to play with that. People like to portray themselves as something that is completely the opposite of what is inside of them. With the lyrics, Brian describes them as being quite optimistic but if you listen to them on face value, "got no friends, got no lover", it's like "shit, you're in the gutter" but to him the song is like a celebration of life. It's that dichotomy of what you see and what you hear not always being what is actually there.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ .: You can take a photo and it can be two people, they can be hanging out and happy but if you put a label on, it completely changes the whole meaning of it. It could be like "cunt". My favourite bit is the guy with the suitcase walking to work and it's like "detonation". It's brilliant.

๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐'s work with ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐ had been constant throughout the band's first decade; however, it took 6 years after "๐ป๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐" until the band returned to work with him on the "๐ญ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐'๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐" and "๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐ ๐ป๐๐ ๐บ๐๐" official videos in 2009, the last ones they have done together so far. ๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: This is close to where I was brought up, round the corner. I used to hang out near this huge dish when I was a kid. And I never thought I’d be with the band, playing on top of it. It’s kind of a huge thing to achieve.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: I hate to break the mystery, but the band isn’t playing on the satellite dish itself. Thanks to technology we did it in the studio. This video was filmed in January. So it would have been too cold for us to be comfortable up there.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: Basically Howard came to us and said: ‘I’ve got an idea for a location’. And it was Jodrell Bank. We wanted to do a performance video again as well after doing quite a lot of filmic-style videos.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: I think he wanted to keep it quite simple - one idea that is visually arresting and would show the band in the best light possible.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: Howard tries to retain a modernist attitude towards most videos and tries to keep it futuristic, which I think you get from this.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: There’s a very good ‘Because I worth it’ moment here.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: Howard using heat-seeking cameras on night-time shots. It was interesting, the first time we’d seen that. It feels gorgeous. There is a great energy on ‘The Bitter End’. It just builds and builds. It does the song justice.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: This video became a big favourite on MTV2 and across Europe. The great thing about Howard is that we just show up and go: ‘Do what you want’, because we trust him. It’s really easy.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: It’s helps you relax and be yourself.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: By this point we’d known each other five years and done four videos together. So it gets easier every time we work with Howard Greenhalgh.

๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐.: This is in South Africa, I think. Some huge exhibition hall. It’s not that modern, it’s sort of 70’s. But Howard sort of doctored the pictures to make it look more modern and placed us in between after we did all the blue screen stuff.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: The idea was that somebody has lost their identity, through either being in a self-destructive relationship or being outside of it, because their identity is so involved in the relationship itself.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: There was a lot of fashion going on. We were in designer gear for this one.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: Christian Dior.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: And then you’ve got Mancuso.
๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง: Which is a label which Howard invented.
It’s kind of a video about a model trying to find her face again. It could also be your worst ex-girlfriend nightmare at a gig. Just imagine, you’re playing a show and the audience is full of people you shagged. It could be quite difficult.
๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: It’s filmed during the first British tour of ‘Sleeping with Ghosts’ between two shows.

๐๐ญ๐๐๐๐ง: We worked with one of our favourite video directors, Howard Greenhalgh, who has been working with us for a long time. He has done loads of stuff for us including 'Nancy Boy', 'Bruise Pristine' and 'The Bitter End', so we had a long relationship with him that enabled us to feel more relaxed, especially now we are introducing a new member to the public. We wanted it to be quite performance based and the tags were basically about the fact that sometimes what you see, is not what is real. We wanted to play with that. People like to portray themselves as something that is completely the opposite of what is inside of them. With the lyrics, Brian describes them as being quite optimistic but if you listen to them on face value, "got no friends, got no lover", it's like "shit, you're in the gutter" but to him the song is like a celebration of life. It's that dichotomy of what you see and what you hear not always being what is actually there.
๐๐ญ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ .: You can take a photo and it can be two people, they can be hanging out and happy but if you put a label on, it completely changes the whole meaning of it. It could be like "cunt". My favourite bit is the guy with the suitcase walking to work and it's like "detonation". It's brilliant.
