”I think a tour bus is a rather excellent way to travel. We did a great deal of van touring very early on in our career, which I think makes us appreciate being able to travel on buses a lot more.”

”David Lynch, his films are very close to my heart. I kinda grew up watching his films, and I love the sense of foreboding and the brutality that runs through his work at the same time as the extreme beauty of it. I've liked his more recent stuff too, Inland Empire was more like an abstract painting, but I liked that.”

”Flying away to the sun, that's the only thing I like about it. I try to be on tour as much as possible at that time of year, and hitting Australia around then is always a good plan. I'm getting older, so my bones are getting more porous, which happens to everybody, but that means I feel the cold a lot more now.”

”The Raincoats. I just really like their classic debut album [The Raincoates, 1979], it's from the punk era and it's kind of shambolic but I really like that.”
