it spells this way [vɐˈronʲɪʂ]. Try to pronounce if it`s possible.

There are not so much places to visit in Voronezh. Everywhere all the same information, that is why I don`t see the point in sightseeing links. I haven`t been there, but I have read what people write about this city: nothing interesting besides some places which we will see right now.

Voronezh - the city in Euopean part of Russia, the administrative center of Voronezhskaya oblast. It is located on the banks of Voronezh reservoir and Voronezh River, in 8.5 km from flowing into the Don River, in 445 km from the capital of Russia - Moscow.

Monument to the first Russian Admiralty
Annunciation Cathedral - one of the highest orthodox temples in the world. Height is 97 meters. By estimates of different historians the temple existed here either since 1586, or with 1620, originally it hada wooden structure.
A lonely woman sitting on the chair and waiting for someone... Charming. You could make up your own story about her, as no-one knows who she is.

Sky near Shopping Mall "Arena", Voronezh
Let us take the public transport which includes buses, marshrutkas and a small quantity of trolley-buses and trams. A funny option is the yellow buses Народный маршрут (Folk´s route). It costs nothing, and the network covers most of the city, but they are very rare.
The shopping centers include Grad (one of the largest in Russia), Mezhdunarodny (in the very centre of the city), Arena, Maximir, Yugo-Zapad, Tvoy Dom, Metro, Moskovskiy Prospekt, Armada, Solnechnyy Ray, Petrovskiy Passage, Aksioma. Souvenirs can also be bought on Prospekt (e.g. in Liki Voronezha shop). Apart from matryoshkas etc., a good local one is the Kitten from Lizyukova street.

What to buy: Buy a pair of Russian slippers for 30 Rubles. There is a few nice shops even if they look expensive (they are to locals) but you will find some nice items at the Central Market all western clothes and shoes, but they do have these nice house slippers for 30 rubles. Almost everyone in Russia wears them at home!

You can find an appropriate restaurant or fast-food, but (if you don't eat everything) it requires some time. So let us see, what could be interesting:

Do not miss the Lipetskaya Mineral Water discovered by Peter the Great (you can find it in Moscow as well, but here it would be an almost local drink). Fair vodka is produced in Voronezh and the small city of Buturlinovka. The local beer is not very good. Some grapes grow in the area, but there is no wine industry, some people make small amounts of home wine.
And try the fantastic blinis!!
Blini are Russia's version of the thin French crêpe and a staple on most Moscovian menus, typically made with buckwheat for savoury fillings or white flour for sweet toppings. You'll see accompaniments of smoked salmon, creamy mushrooms, sour cream, jams and condensed milk – to name a few – but the high-end, revered combination is a spoonful of red salmon or black sturgeon caviar. Another tasty Russian pancake is the cottage cheese version called syrniki, a denser form of ricotta-pancakes, which are eaten for breakfast or dessert. They're best served with homemade jams made from Russia's large array of berries, although condensed milk, honey and sour cream are also served as condiments.

They’re recommended by Lonely Planet and Trip advisor and rated as best value/price restaurant in Russia.They offer authentic, traditional typical Russian cuisine, including both meat and vegetarian dishes. Wide selection of soups (such as red beetroot borch), desserts and pastries and dumplings (pelmeni). In this Southern Russian town, influences from the Caucasus area are inevitable and this deliscious spicy kitchen is mixed with traditional Russian recepies, as well standing completely on original menus from Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaidjan descent. Many spices are used, as well as a tendensy towards sheep and goat products (meat as well as milk).
Kuban bank entertainment park: Food and entertainment on the Kuban river
An enormous entertainment park, in the midst of some reminders of history museums (tanks, armoured cars, airplanes, rocketlaunchers and even a small submarine). A large waterfun park (Aquapark) and fair atractions forfill the need for fun for young and old. In the evening cafe's and restaurants offer good food, lot's of drinks and life music (often quite Southern oriented). Shaslieks and other (Southern) deliscious food are popular and in most restaurants available.
Ljubo-Dorogo (pleasurable): Traditional Russian food at it's best
Along the central street "Krasnaja ulitsa" at the height of the provincial house, this restaurant offers a wide range of traditional Russian food against a fare price.
Favorite Dish: Recommended is the "Telatsha pethonka po kazatshi" (beef liver Kozak style).
Kuban-wine-restaurant on Krasnaja Ul.: Lot of wine combined with deliscious snacks
The winehouse-restaurant in Krasnodar on Krasnaja Ulitsa. Here you can try many glasses of different kinds of Kuban-wine in between delicious courses of good food. Don't be ashamed to leave the restaurant in a - at least - tipsy way.
The restaurant is situated in the basement, but at groundlevel you find the Kuban-wine-shop, so you can buy a few bottles to take home.
Favorite Dish: Recommendation: 'Southern night', a deliciously sweet deep dark red wine

Nice shopping mall, very easy to find for the travelers. Nice shops and a cinema. After going there if the weather is nice, you always can have enjoyable walk along Krasnaya street.
The place to be for shopping endlessly.
Krasnaja Ulitsa: This long boulevard with various sections offers, besides green shady footpaths, a wide collection of shops. The immediate sidestreets add many more littler shops, that sometimes sell the craziest items. First section from Krasnaja Ulitsa (from Avrora to Severnaja Ulitsa) has less shops and more shopping mall typed places besides the road. From the Intourist Hotel further South the streets becomes a shopper's paradise, with above all clothing shops.

Many lovely little shops and small cafes. Ice skating rink, bowling and cinema theaters.
Here you can buy everything, watch peoplea and spend a nice time.

Krasnodar is situated on the right bank of river Kuban, it's in 150 km far from both seas - Black and Azov.
Nowadays Krasnodar is the capital of Kuban, also administrative center of South Russia and "Kaukaz gates".
But a bit more than 200 years ago Krasnodar was a small military fortress that was called Ekaterinodar - in honor of Impress Ekaterina II. She gave the lands between the Kuban River and Azov Sea to Cossacks (казак).

A little about the name of the city"Ekaterinodar ", it consist of two words: "Ekaterina" - name and "dar"(дар) - gift, present. And Krasnodar contains two words: "krasny" (красный) - the old word - means beautiful, now means colour - red and "dar".
In 1920 was renamed and became Krasnodar.
Kuban has been considered to be the "pearl" of Russia for a long time and the main granary and the leader in agro-industrial complex of the country.
The grain, sugar beet, sunflower, soy, rice, grapes, potato, vegetables, tea and citrus fruit crop are cultivated and grown up here. Winemaking is also developed.
The main sightseeings are located on the oldest street of Krasnodar - Krasnaya. Besides buildings which are assigned architecture value/heritage, most of places of interest are very new .
Krasnaya St is a very popular place of pastime of Krasnodar habitants of all ages.

Krasnaya there's a monument to walking dogs - it's an illustration to the Mayakovsky's poem, who wrote about Krasnodar: « It's not a dog's boondocks, it's the dogy capital»
There is a monument to the Kuban Cossacks that is built at the. the regional administration of Krasnodar. Every day Cossacks kited out in their traditional Cossack clothes constantly are on duty. The Cossacks are actively supported by the government and propagandized for the purpose of revival of its historical importance.

The central park "Gorodskoy Sad", "Solnechny ostrov" with the biggest in the city the safari park and the square of Zhukov are favourate recreation zones of many locals.

In the spring and in the summer a lot of habitants of Krasnodar come out for the weekend to the coast of the Black Sea. It takes 1.5-2 hours from the center of the city.
