Anyway: Xenia, you felt in love with Placebo with their latest album. Tell
us, what was the principal reason for you to fall in love with the “Loud Like Love”?
Xenia Gerasimova: The reasons are the extremely powerful, moving
and deep lyrics and music that go straight to my heart & soul.

Anyway: What does this album mean to you?
Xenia Gerasimova: It means to me a lot, because in the beginning
I had only few old songs on my phone and I knew nothing about this band, about
them - their history, who they are... And the LLL was like acquaintance. I
heard this album first time watching their performance on YouTube.
I saw them,
and it was very interesting and unusual to listen to THAT sweet and mysterious
voice live, to see funny Steve behind the drums and the silent "unknown
queen of Sweden". ….And the beautiful and touching Fiona's execution. Yes,
it was love from the first sight... Something very attractive for me.

Placebo Anyway: Lovely Xenia. So, do you already know the
other albums, and tell us, do you have a favourite one beside LLL?
Xenia Gerasimova: Yes, I know all Placebo albums and love them
without any exclusion!! I am not able to choose one favorite.
Placebo Anyway: Have you already been to one of their concerts
or are you going to one soon?
Xenia Gerasimova: No,
I have never been to their concerts, cos I've become their fan very recently -
this year.Unfortunately,
I won't go to the festival in Moscow. Nevertheless I am going to attend their
gig in the future... Of course I must do that. |

Placebo Anyway: What do
you think about the typical Placebo fan and the meaning of Soulmates Never Die? Is this true for you?
Xenia Gerasimova: Placebo fan - is one of the best fans!! Because
this person listens to the one of the most talented band of all times, because
this human is friendly & funny, kind and tolerant towards other people, it
is the person who is polite to the sexual minorities, who isn't partial, who is
able to help and support.
Yes this is true for
me! I do believe every person has a soulmate - the problem is how to find this
one. Sometimes we're waiting for this person for too long... As for Placebo
fans - we will never die because their wonderful music is in our hearts &
heads forever. We are bonded with this band, we can't exist without them as
they - musicians cannot exist without us - listeners. We have common tastes,
opinions, thoughts and humor.

Placebo Anyway: What is the most beautiful you find in
Placebo?
Xenia Gerasimova: The most beatiful is ability to thrill you
every time you listen to their music. When you feel the extremely explosive
force that goes from inside. The force that evokes the deepest emotions in a soul!!
