A soulful version of Loud Like Love
The interviewer is Anne Sophie Lapix, for the
frenchtv show “C à vous” (you can translate it phonetically “it’s your turn”).
In this show, people have dinner while being
interviewed. Brian arrives for the dessert.
Anne Sophie: And Brian Molko has just joined us. Thank you
Brian, we are delighted to welcome you here.
Brian: Good evening.
Anne Sophie: Especially because you have a little surpise
for us, so we are absolutely delighted!
Georges,
please let us know what this dessert is!
They explain what this wonderful dessert is
(caramel and chocolate!!!)!

Anne Sophie: Brian, I’m back to you. But first, we haven’t
had the time to play a little video about Louis Garrel, who plays the role of
your husband in the play [she is speaking
to another guest] and he had a little thing to say, have a look.
This video is about someone else…. No need of
translation, there is nothing interesting about Placebo or Brian!! ;-)

Anne Sophie: Brian Molko, you speak English very well of course
but you also speak French very well.
That’s an advantage for us! You’re here to introduce us your new album Loud
Like Love. Your 7th opus, after 4 years of absence. Has it been difficult to find the inspiration
again?
Brian: No, not really
Anne Sophie: No?
Brian: No, no
Brian: Well, normally, we’re on tour for two years.
Then we have a break for six months. This time we had a break for eleven
months!
Anne Sophie: Ah ok, we must have been a little bit
impatient! But I think you began to work on this album as a solo one? And then,
your team joined you?
Brian: Well, during those eleven months, I kept on
writing. I just wanted to know if I was able to do it without …
Anne Sophie: your acolytes (fellows)?
Brian: My acolytes, yes! But it has not been a
really fixed project. It was not an ambition to record a solo album. Not
necessarily. We’ve met in the studio and
we lacked equipment. So I offered some.
Anne Sophie: Right. So, there is more space for your voice
on this album. On the others there were more space for the musical instruments,
but there is more space for the lyrics too.
Brian: Yes. Our producer has… He hasn’t forced me
but he has encouraged me to push my voice a lot in the mix, on this album.
Anne Sophie [talking to the other woman]: Valeria, are you
acquainted with their music? You’ve been
lulled in classical music but …?
Valeria: Yes I really like it!
Anne Sophie: Do you have a rock side in you?
Valerie: Yes, a bit! I like it. Can’t see it by the way I’m dressed???!!!
Anne Sophie: Yes, totally!
Brian: Hum, French and Italian.
Anne Sophie: So do you speak Italian as well?
Anne Sophie: So, I let you go on stage. And
you won’t have any time to try your dessert! Maybe after.
They’ve
sold more than 11 million albums worldwide, and they are back with the 7th
studio album: Loud
Like Love.
They will be in Paris Bercy on December the 10th.
Brian Molko, you’ve been joined by Stefan Olsdal, for an unprecedented
performance : Loud Like Love. Take it from here.
Like Love.
LOUD LIKE
LOVE…

There’s nothing more… Usual thanks and
anonciating some tour dates! ;-)
"Loud Like Love"
Love on an atom, love on a cloud
To see the birth of all that isn't now
Can you imagine a love that is so proud?
To see the birth of all that isn't now
Can you imagine a love that is so proud?
It never has to question why or how
Total abandon the love in my dreams
When I wake up I'm soaking in my sheets
Breathe, breathe
Believe, believe, believe, believe
For all of our youth
We have craved them
Their beauty and their truth
Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe
Believe, believe, believe, believe
Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe
Believe, believe
That we are loud like
Love on an atom, love on a cloud
To see the birth of all that isn't now
Can you imagine a love that is so proud?
It never has to question why or how
For all of our youth
We have craved them
Their beauty and their truth
So we name them
And somehow they pull us through
We have craved them
For all of our youth
And somehow they pull us through
We have craved them
For all of our youth
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
We are loud like love
