Placebo Anyway: When did you first listen to Placebo?  Did you start to listen to the band with one of their albums or a special song?

Quand as-tu écouté Placebo pour la première fois? Tu as commencé avec un album ou une chanson en particulier ?

Sandra Tison:

J’ai entendu Placebo la première fois à la télévision, lors de la sortie de « The Bitter End » en 2003 dès que j’ai entendu sa merveilleuse voix,son physique exceptionnellement glamour et sexy …. Bref j’ai craqué lol. Je suis tombée amoureuse de Placebo cejour là. J’ai donc acheté leur CD 2 titres,ensuite ce fut vraiment la révélation quand j’ai acheté leur DVD « Soulmates Never Die, Live in Paris ».

I first heard Placebo on TV, when “The Bitter End” had been released in 2003. As soon as I’ve heard his wonderful voice, his glamour and sexy appearance… Well, I went head over heels. lol. I felt in love with Placebo this day.

So I bought the single, and then it became a revelation when buying the DVD “Soulmates Never Die, live in Paris”.

Placebo Anyway: What was so special about the band for you to become a fan?

Qu’est-ce qui était si spécial avec ce groupe pour que tu deviennes une fan?

Sandra Tison:

Tout!!!! Lolen premier sa voix exceptionnelle, je n’ai jamais entendu une voix comme la sienne, et puis leurs paroles sont  si profondes,émouvantes je me retrouve complètement avec Placebo,il faut aussi avouer que Brian a tout pour plaire …. Hehehe ;-)

Everything!!!! Lol. First, his amazing voice, I’ve never heard such a voice, and they have so deep and touching lyrics that I totally find myself in Placebo, but I have to admit Brian has everything needed to please our eyes… Hehehe ;-)

Placebo Anyway: Which difference you see in the band between 2003 and 2014?

Quelles difference(s) vois-tudans le groupe entre 2003 et 2014?

Sandra Tison:

 Il n’y a aucune différence,Placebo reste le même groupe qu’il y a 20 ans,ils me font toujours vibrer. C’est toujoursun énorme bonheur de les écouter

There is not any difference, Placebo is the same band they were than 20 years ago, they still make me vibrate. It’s always a huge pleasure to listen to them 

Placebo Anyway: How have you lived the years from 2003 on with the band and their music?

Comment as-tu vécu ces années depuis 2003 avec le groupe et leur musique ?

Sandra Tison:

Placebo a changé ma vie, beaucoup de personnes de mon entourage me disent que ça tourne à l’obsessionlol. Je les aimes tellement que je ne peux pas passer une journée sans les écouter,j’ai besoin d’eux quand je me lève, quand je travaille, quand je conduis,même sous la douche hihihi ;-) c’est comme une drogue, j’en ai besoin.

Placebo changed my life, many people in my surroundings tell me that It has turned into obsession lol. I love them so much that I can’t spend a day without listening to them. I need them when I wake up, when I’m working, when I’m driving, even when having a shower hihihihi ;-) 
They’re like a drug that I need.

Placebo Anyway: Have you been to the gigs of the LLL tour 2013? 

As-tu été aux concerts de la tournée LLL en 2013? 

Sandra Tison:
Malheureusement non  j’aurai vraiment aimé y aller.Mais je sais qu’ils reviendront très vite à Paris

Unfortunately not. I would have really loved to go… But I know they will be back in Paris soon. 

Placebo Anyway: Have you gone to all the concerts in your country? Some abroad? Which one are your favourite ones: festivals or venues?

As-tu été à tous les concerts dans ton pays? Quelques une à l’étranger ? Tu préfères plutôt les festivals ou les lieux plus intimiste ?

Sandra Tison:

J’ai seulement été les voir une fois en 2006 à Caen,à 1h de route de chez moi, pour la sortie de leur album « Meds ». Ce fut pour moi le moment le plus excitant de toute ma vie !!

I’ve only been to one gig in 2006 in Caen, it’s an hour’s drive from my house, for the release of their album “Meds”. It’s been the most exciting moment of my whole life!!

Placebo Anyway: What about your Placebo CD’s? Do you have all their albums? Anyspecial collection? Vinyls, singles, dvd’s....?

Qu’en est-il de tes CDs de Placebo? As-tu tous leurs albums ? Une collection spéciale ? Vinyls, singles, DVDs ?

Sandra Tison:

Oui j’ai tous leurs albums et DVD, je possède également quelques t-shirts, posters et biographies

Yes, I have all their albums and DVDs, I also own some t-shirts, posters and biographies.

Placebo Anyway: Choose three songs from 2003 until 2014 which makes you feel closer to the band?

Choisis trois chansons dans l’ère 2003-2014 tu font te sentir proche du groupe.

Sandra Tison:

mmmm… question très difficile car il y en a beaucoup. Je dirais “The Bitter End” “Centrefolds » et « Begin The End » 

Hummmm… Very hard question because there are so many. I’d say ‘The Bitter End’, ‘Centrefolds’ and ‘Begin The End’ 

Placebo Anyway: Do you see any difference between the fans from 2003 and the fans from nowadays?

Vois-tu une difference entre les fans de 2003 et les fans d’aujourd’hui?

Sandra Tison:

Non je ne pense pas, on vit au fil de leur musique on grandit avec eux, donc non je ne vois pas de différence entre les fans de 2003 et aujourd’hui

No, I don’t think so, we live through their music, grow up with them, so no, I don’t see any difference between 2003 fans and nowadays’.

Placebo Anyway: Is there a stereotypical Placebo fan?

Y a-t-il un stereotype de fan de Placebo?

Sandra Tison:

Je ne pense pas non, les fans sont remplis d’esprits si différents.

I don’t think so, fans have so many different personnalities.

Placebo Anyway: What do you think about "Soulmates Never Die".Is this true?

Que penses-tu de “Soulmates Never Die” (Les âmes sœurs ne meurent jamais), est-ce vrai?

Sandra Tison:

Chaque personne a une âme sœur donc oui je pense que c’est vrai,nous sommes tous différents et nous avons besoin de cette âme sœur pour vivre.Placebo m’a fait comprendre qu’une âme sœur ne meure jamais.

Each person has a soulmate, so yes I think it’s true, we’re all different and we need that soulmate to live. Placebo made me understand that a soulmate never dies.

Placebo Anyway: In your opinion, what unifies Placebo fans? What is the glue that puts them together?

A ton avis, qu’est ce qui inuifie les fans de Placebo? Quelle est la colle qui les met ensemble?

Sandra Tison:

L’amour, l’amitié, la différencevoilàce qui nous réunis, nous partageons une connexion entre nous, ce point commun qui est d’aimer Placebo. Que l’on soit bisexuel, hétérosexuel, homosexuel… Peu importe, on est tous rattaché à cette passion et je souhaite àtout le monde de les écouter, ilsauront sûrement une autre opinion de la vie je pense.

Love, friendship and difference, this is what unifies us. We share a connection which is the love for Placebo. Being bisexual, hetero, homo… Whatever, we’re all glued to this passion and I wish for everyone to listen to Placebo and then they’ll probably have another opinion about life I think.

Placebo Anyway: How do you see the evolution of the band on a musical way?

Comment vois-tu le groupe évoluer, musicalement ?

Sandra Tison:

Toujours de la même manière depuis 20 ans, ils nous surprennenta chaque nouvel album, toujours aussi envoutant, vibrant, débordant d’énergie. J’espère de tout cœur les voir continuer à jouer le plus longtemps possible.

Always the same way for now 20 years, they always surprise us with their new albums, each time, it’s bewitching, vibrating, full of energy. I hope from the bottom of my heart that they’ll keep on playing as long as possible.

Placebo Anyway: Do you think the inclusion of Steve Forrest gave the band somehtingpositve?

Penses-tu que l’inclusion de Steve Forrest dans le groupe a apporté quelquechose de positif?

Sandra Tison:

Oui je pense, Steve Forrest a changé beaucoup de choses dans ce groupe, il a redonné un sens a Placebo,il est très talentueux et très beau garçon. hehehe ^^

Yes I think, Steve Forrest has changed many things in this band, he gave back a sense to Placebo, he’s very talented and so good looking! Hehehe ^^

Placebo Anyway: Do you have a Placebo favourite member? Brian, Stef, Steve…and why?

As-tu un member préféré dans le groupe? Brian, Stef, Steve, et pourquoi?

Sandra Tison:

Bien évidement c’est Brian lol, car c’est le cœur du groupe, sans lui ses chansons n’auraient aucun sens, sa voix est si majestueuse, envoutante…

Et puis entre nous il est si beau 

Of course, it’s Brian lol, because he’s the heart of the band, without him, their songs wouldn’t make sense, his voice is so majestic and bewitching…

And, between us, he is so handsome 

Placebo Anyway: Which difference do you see in Brian when you look back and compare it with how he is nowadays?

Quelles differences vois-tu en Brian quand tu regarde le passé et le compare au Brian d’aujourd’hui?

Sandra Tison:

Franchement je ne vois aucune différence,il n’a pas changé d’un seul trait, il a eu un nombre incalculable de look tous aussi parfait les uns que les autres. Quand je le vois aujourd’hui et il y a 20ans c’est le même Brian.

Honestly, I don’t see any difference, he hasn’t change at all, and he’s had so many different looks all as perfect as possible. He’s the same Brian nowadays and 20 years ago!

Placebo Anyway: 20 Years to go...what is your wish for the next 20 Placebo years?

20 ans à venir… Quels sont tes vœux pour les 20 prochaines années Placebo?

Sandra Tison:

Je leur souhaite de continuer aussi longtemps qu’ils peuvent, je leur souhaite également que du bonheur parce qu’ils le méritentvraiment, et aussi que leurs fans continuent à les soutenir car c’est vital pour eux et même pour nous ^^.

I wish them to keep on going as long as they can, I wish them a lot of happiness too because they really deserve it and that their fans will keep on supporting them because it’s essential for them and even for us ^^.
